The Wushu Department offers programs to more than 500 full-time students of traditional Chinese sports specialty. 4 professors, 13 associate professors and 6 lecturers staff the faculties of martial art routines and combating. The department has frequent international exchanges. Quite a number of its outstanding students have taken part in international and national competitions, winning most of the gold medals. Some students and Wushu practitioners from Asia, Europe and
have come to the department either to study for an academic degree or to improve their skills and deepen their understanding of Wushu.
Traditional Chinese Sports Specialty
1. Main Courses: survey of traditional Chinese sports, history of Wushu, introduction to traditional Chinese culture, basic theory of Wushu, traditional Chinese life nurturing, theory and practice of sports, sports psychology, sports physiology.
2. Main Lab Courses: sports anatomy, sports physiology, sports medicine.
3. Academic Duration: 4 years(duration can be shortened by 1 year or extended by 1-2 years）, 169 to be fulfilled.
